Dew Rag

Ok ok how come I've never seen anything like this in person before? Is it because I live in little Santa Barbara? I think that's it. Serio tho this breezy is getting hyphy on an old lady, which makes me kinda sad but at the same time I can't help but laugh at the shit she's saying. ''Where my dew rag at'' I think that's my favorite line in the whole video, it makes me want to get ghetto on people smacking faces and pinching butts. So does that mean I Should move out to a big city where shit like that is normal? Hmmm nahhh haha that kinda makes me chuckle because I know I'd be a scared little bish with my phone in my hand calling 911.

O.G. Gum

For Labor Day I headed up to Solvang, a cute little town 30 minutes or so up north of Santa Barbara. It's like a danish town full of cute little shops, danish bakeries and knick knack shops. I came across a candy store that had almost EVERY type of candy I used to eat back in the day as well as gum. Ahhhh as soon as I saw the box of Fruit Stripe I almost pissed in my pants from excitement because I can't find this gum anywhere in Santa Barbara.

I just took me back to the good ol days where I'd ride my skateboard to 711 on the mesa and literally stick like the whole pack in my mouth, or at least try to. It made me feel like a Zebra.

Bad News Bears

So today I find out via internet that The Hundreds Labor Day block party is canceled. All because 1 neighbor in the fairfax community is complaining about the amounts of people that come to the event. Over the past couple of years they had gone through the city and LAPD to comply with the ordinances and made sure they were putting on a fun, safe event for the fairfax community, but the little bitch last year threw a hissy fit and vowed The Hundreds would never have a party on the streets again. This little man just ruined a great opportunity for me to meet a lot of cool ass kids and possibly some leads in the industry. That man must be unhappy and was probably the one in high school without a prom date and now is taking it out on the youth, who are trying to have good clean fun. I HATE YOU...You ruined my Labor Day you FREAK

He Spits

Alexander Spit is phucken legit hands down. The Hundreds believed enough in him to support and make his upcoming solo album ''Open 24 Hours'' happen.

He's a 20 year old San Franciscan with stale cigarette breath, a faded vintage tee and swagger like a cool ass kid. He's a former member of the San Francisco and Los Angeles based hip hop crew The Instant Messengers. I heard about him from reading The Hundreds blog (daily ritual) and they had a posting on him giving the low down on his upcoming album stating his music is engaging and relevant, inspired by the past but directed towards the future. So what did I do? Of coarse download 2 of his songs from Itunes. Serio I've been bumping them everyday since. It sounds so clean and it's so simple none of this diluted or cheap mimicry shit.

Block Partayy

As I sit here in the SBCC school library killing time before my next class I couldn't help but remember that this weekend is Labor Day. This Monday will be The Hundreds 4th annual block party. We had planned on going but last week I found out we'd be doing my dads bbq that Monday but someone loved me yesterday because I found out we are doing it Sunday, so you know what that means right? My happy ass will be at Rosewood and Fairfax from 12pm to who knows that time.

I'll be celebrating Labor Day with a bunch of cool ass kids I don't even know but I'm ok with that I'll be with my girlfriend and some other friends. I hope my broke ass can some how come up off some goods while I'm there.

7th Letter

I loves me some Levi Maestro aka Maestro Knows. On his 2nd online season episode 6 he takes you to Seventh's Letter New Era Hardshow in Santa Monica. For those of you that don't know Seventh Letter was founded in 2000 be Casey ''Eklips'' Zoltan leader of AWR MSK, a prolific West Coast graffiti crew. Seventh Letter is the crew's fashionable output, where artist can display their works of art in the forms of clothing, art exhibits and other art inspired projects. Up and running for 9 years this crew is legit and if you are part of the graffiti world you know what I'm talking about, and if you don't then you're not that cool.

Slap Me

Wtf I barely get one of their limited hats from the THSF store for my birthday this past weekend and they have another 2 coming out from both THLA and THSF and they're effin cool! I would much rather have the Rosewood one tho from THLA.

Gahhh they are coming out September 3rd and of coarse only 100 are made so I think I'm shit out of luck on this one. Here is what the new Post hat from THSF looks like (I like mine way better)
